Yesterday, we had an incredible workday at Carver Community Garden in East Harlem. We had an awesome group of volunteers from Fried Frank serving through New York Cares. We got an incredible amount of work done including:
- deconstructing the old garden beds and prepping the soil for the new beds
- cutting the wood, building, and waterproofing 18 garden beds
- digging out, leveling, and setting 16 beds
- planting flowers, perennials, and bushes in planters around the garden
- washing and scrubbing the gazebo
- “removing” a giant tree stump
Thanks so much to all the volunteers from Fried Frank, to New York Cares, and to the gardeners who pitched in!
